NorWater
Freshwater maker systems. Reverse osmosis system from Eide Marine Tech produces high quality potable water from sea water. Our products are proudly manufactured in Norway.
Water quality guarantee
The fresh water produced by our Reverse Osmosis System is of high-quality potable water standard.
Under normal circumstances, the water quality will always have a conductivity level of less than 75 mS/m at 25°C, which is the maximum recommended value specified by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate for Mobile Offshore Units.
If at any stage the conductivity increases to a level above 75 mS/m, a pre-warning-alarm will be activated, which means that it is recommended to take appropriate action. At a conductivity level of 100 mS/m, the product will be rejected and discarded. The product water flow rate always depends on the raw water condition, and it will vary with differences in temperature, salinity etc.

The Reverse Osmosis concept
The Norwater range of Reverse Osmosis Systems is a range of products developed and manufactured in Norway on the basis of a well-known process which has been under constant development since the first experimental systems were introduced in 1950´s.
In general terms, the process is a «reverse process» based on the natural osmotic pressure difference between two salt solutions on either side of a membrane, in which mechanical pressure is applied to the side with higher salinity.
The membranes through which the salt water passes at relatively high pressure are a vital part of the systems, separating the fresh water from the salt water.
All our standard systems use high quality «thin film composite» spiral wound membranes, which are protected in a fibre glass reinforced epoxy pressure vessel.
The processes are continuously monitored and controlled by a sophisticated PLC system which will give immediate warning and shut down if any of the vital process parameters are not within accepted limits.
The high-pressure axial piston pump is made from «duplex / super duplex» stainless steel material which is well known for its reliability and long service life, with an absolute minimum of maintenance required.
The control cabinet is an integrated part of the unit, made from carefully selected components which will ensure long and trouble-free operation of the system.
The cabinet contains all the necessary instrumentation, such as:
• Flow reading of momentary and periodic production.
• Conductivity reading with high level warning and automatic bypassing of produced water of unacceptable quality.
• Alarm signals for the process parameters.
The frame is built of stainless steel AISI 304, protected with white powder paint, and equipped with eye bolts for easy transport and handling on site.
